Pacific Media Expo 2011 Nov. 11-13

PMX this weekend was pretty fun. I went with Jade and her mom and we got an artist alley table. I made more at PMX than at AX lol!

Friday: Arrived, waited in line for an hour only to find out that the artist badges weren't even ready, so I headed over to the artist where Jade's mom was already waiting. It was a very small room on the second floor but it was nice to get rid of some of my AX stuff.
I was dressed as Matryoshka Gakupo and then switched out for the D concert.
The concert was an absolute blast! D started with their new song Huang Di, which has not even debuted in Japan yet. They also showed the PV that hasn't aired. They had a great set list and it was really fun overall. They are all so gorgeous! At the end of the night I was able to get Hiroki's drumstick. Jade, another girl and I all lunged for it so all three of us ended up on our asses lol! I'm going to frame it. Haha.

Kuranosuke - Kuragehime

Saturday: I got a bunch of commissions on Saturday. Missed the D panel but I made about 70 bucks.

First commission ever!!

Jade and I went to the exhibit hall where Jade was almost conned into buying a $300 dress at the H.Naoto booth. I got an HN+nois bracelet. Jade and I were dressed as Okita from Hakuouki (different versions). We took some nice pictures in the ani.me room but they haven't been put up yet.
The D concert wasn't as entertaining for me as the first one mostly because I couldn't see anything. They did the same setlist except for the last encore song which was Day By Day. After the concert we went get out posters signed. Hiroki and Tsunehito were real friendly. XD
For AX 2013 I'm going to try and make the outfit Asagi wore for the concerts.

Can't wait XD.
I stayed up til 3 that night to curl my Barnaby wig. Woke up at 6 the next morning lol!


Sunday: Jade and I were Kotetsu and Barnaby. I was pretty much waiting all weekend for this cosplay. I'm not too happy with the material but that was all I could find in such short notice and I didn't have enough money to buy another type of fabric. I probably won't remake it though because of school and Asagi XDD A few people took pics of us and we more or less got mobbed by a group of girls. I got passed around and hugged til Jade rescued me lol. I sold a few prints and was able to make my money back for the table and then some. We took pictures at the ani.me room again so waiting for those to come out.

Great con overall but probably won't go next year unless there's a good band. They are very disorganized and there isn't much to do if you're just a regular con goer. We had a table so we were occupied.
