Hermosa Beach Street Fair

I went out with Anya, Paloma and Midori today to the Hermosa Beach fair WHERE IT WAS WINDY LIKE WHOA.

Anya was in mori girl and I wore shorts overalls with a tank underneath so we were freezing our asses off. We did a few rounds around the fair, got some free samples. We went to a vintage shop where I got these beauties:

After the vintage shop we went to get something to eat. I wasn't too hungry though so I didn't get anything.
It was a fun day!
Now the long wait till Anime Expo arrives!

Trip to Melrose

My aunty took me to Melrose today! First stop: Vivienne Westwood ♥
It's so cool to see real Vivienne Westwood clothes and jewelery. I love it so much! I tried on the armor ring and the knuckle duster. The armor ring is $280 so about $300 with tax. Hopefully I'll get enough birthday money to buy it. I've been wanting this thing for YEARS.

Everything is SO expensive! But it's designer so I wasn't really expecting otherwise.
The two shop attendants were very nice and helpful (and adorable *O*). One of them started chatting with my aunt and he brought me different sizes to try on for the armor ring and knuckle duster. The shop had an overall friendly atmosphere. The two guys there weren't snooty or anything at all (even though we didn't buy anything ><). I'll definitely be back to buy that armor ring.

After Vivienne Westwood we stopped by a snack store that sold European and Asian snacks. My aunt bought a German snack called Topkuss.

 It's so rich and creamy and delicious! But I'd had it after 3 of them XD It's extremely sweet. The inside is some sort of marshmallow concoction. I'm not sure what it is exactly :/

We then ventured over to Wasteland were I got this guy:

I thought it had a kind of Sex Pot Revenge feel so I had to buy it. And the guy who rang me up had the CUTEST one piece on. I wanted to take a picture but that would've been creepy LOL

I got this at Crossroads, across the street from Wasteland. Plaaaiiid! Looks like the bustle shorts Paloma got from Q Pop XD

All in all it was a good trip and now I know exactly what size I need for that armor ring. Can't wait!

Phantom Galleries free theme exhibition 5/14/11

I thought about putting this in my art blog but I figure this is more of an event :) I went with Calla and we just hung out around the area. We even went into a sex shop which was interesting LOL

4/28/11: Mitsuwa+Mall

Skipped Life Drawing to hang with Midori and Paloma.
We met at Mitsuwa for lunch at around 2. Paloma and I shared a tenzaru soba and Midori got a fish bentou thing. After lunch we did our usual round of the market: makeup aisle=>bookstore XD

We decided to go to the Galleria and did some shopping and derping around. All in all it was a fun and relaxing day after a good nap in art history.

4/22/11: Tune in Tokyo Pop Punk Event

On Wednesday I went to Royal T with Jade to just kinda hang out. It was an excuse to get dressed up XD I drove over to Jade's house and arrived around 7. She changed out of what she was originally wearing so we could match XD

4/2/11-4/3/11: Paul and Anime Day

I went out with Jade, her mum and Adam to discuss Masquerade stuff and hang out :3 Wore my Union Jack tie! XD

My legs are so weeeiiiiiirrrdd XDD

I wore leggings at first but it was cold so I changed to jeans.

And today was Anime Day so I threw together a quick Honey (from Ouran Host Club) cosplay with a blue jacket I found at the Salvation Army. I already had an iron patch of the school emblem, the bunny and the wig.

The hair wasn't really flippy enough but whatever. I didn't participate this time since I brought most of the prizes; just kept score. Andrew (brother) participated though. I just gave him the answers.We walked around the mall for a bit. It was REALLY hot in there D:

It's a long sleeve shirt so all I have to do is cut the sleeves and hem it up :) I'm gonna make the pants since I have a WHOLE bunch of white left over from Ventus and I have to make white pants for England's halloween outfit anyway.

3/25/11-4/1/11: Outing, Magical Girls and random outfit snaps

3/25:
 Yesterday I went to go see Paul with Jade and her mom. It was pretty funny; made by the same guys who did Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. We had dinner first at Lazy Dog and then movie. Nice relaxing night.

Today it was Mitsuwa then mall with Midori, Anya and Paloma~
I had PASTAAAAAA~ with mushrooms and alfredo sauce. After lunch, we went to go ogle at the magazines in Sanseido for a bit.

At the mall we looked around at Urban. They had some cute stuff on sale. We went to F21 after and was bombarded with color. XD And stripes LOL. At H&M (our usual path, Urban, F21, H&M and Joanns :D), they had some really cute mori girl type things. I think I've always bought something everytime I go to H&M D:

I got some hair accessories and a big tank. Paloma and I got the same tank so we could twin one day haha. Couldn't get Midori to buy one though.

Can't really see it but it's a big flower I stuck in my hair. Was to lazy to remove it ;3

Been hanging out with the cool people lately.

Last Saturday I went over to Midori's to...errr... help her with some computer stuff. She fed me some delicious Japanese food after which we derped around on Skype with Anya and Paloma.

I finished this in under and hour and was all proud when I realized I didn't have enough red to line it. SHIET. <---[Jade influence XD]
That was also when I realized I was missing a side panel piece which was okay since it would come out huuge with it. Had to re-pattern the sleeves though. Fuuuun.

Need to do:
Shorten sleeves and hem a bit
Red lining
finish with black and white bias tape [best friend :O]

Went rollerblading with Anya today. It was fuun~ We had a little picnic first and then rollerbladed a few laps around the park.

Also I found a place near me with PEACE TEAAAAAAAAA ♥

After rollerblading we went to Walser's, bought a few things for our art and then headed over to the Apple Store where we got Manga Studio. I've been testing it out, trying to ink the first page of my doujin. It's really gonna take a bit of getting used to. I keep pressing B (for the effects brush) instead of P (for the pen tool) XD

Here's what I've got so far:

We were thinkin' about making some doujinshi's together and splitting everything. Should work out okay provided we don't procrastinate like we usually do ♥

Not that she'd ever see this. XD Yes, it's my mumma's birthday.♥

Yesterday, my aunts came over and we had a barbeque. Korean BBQ and hamburgers. It was a nice combo. I was in a food coma for about the rest of the day. Aunty Lou brought her shih tzu, R2.

It was late and he got sleepy, poor guy.

We watched Demonlition Man which was a hilarious movie. It reminded me of Brave New World which is probably what it's based on since Stallone's character is named John and Sandra Bullock's character is named Lenina Huxley. XD
I wasn't really paying attention to the movie (too busy playing with the dog). I noticed just now when I looked up the actors. DERP.

Everyone went home eventually and I stayed up drawing my doujin reading yaoi and got absolutely nothing done. 8D

Today, my mum took me to Little Saigon so she could do some grocery shopping and eat and then we went to South Coast Plaza to walk it off. I got a big ring and a shirt (like Paloma's asymmetrical shirt but black) from H&M. I love the rings at H&M. Size small fits me PERFECTLY.

Two weeks ago, Anya and Paloma came over for a sewing day. Afterwards we decided to walk to 7-11, much to Anya's disdain ♥♥
I had never seen clouds like this before. It was really cool. What are they called again, Anya?
My mom says they look like sperm. :O

1/19:
But I had a really good time today. :)
Midori, Anya and Paloma (our driver <3) went to Little Tokyo to hang out. Mostly just walked around, ate, shopped, ate and walked some more. XD
Midori's a pretty big spender, haha.
No outfit shot though cause I was running late and I had to pick up Midori.

1/8/11: Two good days in a row

Yesterday
Went to ALA and had a lot of fun. My co-worker's friend gave me a ride along with her friend and the three of us more or less hung out the whole day. The exhibit hall was pretty lame (so I didn't buy anything YESSSS) although the steampunk stuff some of the dealers was selling was cool. There was a bodyline booth but the prices were JACK'D up. Might as well buy straight from the site :/

Today
Hung out with three other friends today and had fun again! We went to Korean barbecue and then the mall to walk it off.
And made a chocolate pact. XD
Came home, watched the rest of Supernatural Season 2 and Back to the Future, ate like a pig and now sitting on my laptop blogging about it. HOO-AH.
It was a good day overall. Also, I have to stop typing in fragments.

I bought a cool ring at H&M for only 6 bucks.

Really trying not to spend anymore money cause I wanna save it for AX prints buuuut.... I bought a shirt on eBay. FAIL. Cause I need more Sex Pistols shirts. Scratch that. I was outbid at the last second. XDD

Slacking off on my projects as usual. The LMS game producer gave me some work to do~ XD
I finished pages 12-17 of the doujin. If I work non-stop tomorrow then I might finish with the roughing. IF. Then I just gotta stick it in PS to lineart. >< Or I might use quill pen. Not sure yet.

They strolled in about 3 hours late but at least wasn't canceled. LOL.
Got some merchandise and a few crappy pics and video on my phone which I'll post tomorrow. Hopefully Paloma will have hers up by then too cause I'ma steal em.

AND YOSHIKI JUMPED INTO THE PIT. SHOULDA SPENT THE 80 SOME BUCKS FOR PIT TICKETS!!!!


Will definitely see them again when they come back to LA. Hopefully they don't come out late. XD
