On Feb 19th I went to the LA Doctor Who convention. It was a cool experience [considering I was wandering around by myself the entire day] and I got to see some awesome actors up close :)
I hope I can go with a friend next time so we can geek out at the merchandise.
Speaking of merchandise, the vendor hall was very small. There couldn't have been more than 20 sellers but they all had pretty decent things. I didn't buy much. Just an autographed picture of Richard Speight Jr. and a picture of Mark Sheppard. I wanted to get an autograph but he wasn't signing that day :(

Lil Tokyo trip
Last weekend my friend, Alex, and I went to Little Tokyo to hang out. We got lost on the way cause we missed a freeway XDD But we reached our destination eventually. We ate first at Orochon, a very small ramen place. It was pretty good and the bowl was big. The price was a typical ramen price, around 7 bucks a bowl. After we went to kinokuniya to oogle the art books. I got a Tiger & Bunny art book! They had cellphone straps too but Kotetsu and Barnaby were all sold out :(
I found an art book that interviewed one of my teachers, Nathan Ota.
Then we went to Qpop. They had new Sex Pot stuff! But I have no money so I couldn't get anything.
Alex needed to go to MOCA for one of her classes so we headed over to check out the Under the Black Sun exhibit. It was really interesting. There was art work from around the 70s, all pertaining to California.
This one was my favorite piece. It's 1000 canvases stuck together with paint. The artist has to tear it down and rebuild it for every exhibit, so the piece is unique to every gallery.
Pictures weren't allowed so I took this from the site.
After MOCA we went to get boba, some sweets and check out Kools. They had these really cool hand skeleton hair clips so I got them and gave one to Alex.
We went home around 4. It was fun hanging out with Alex. Hopefully we can get the rest of our friends to come next time! :)
